CRACK-ING

“From Where I Stand” at Katsigras Museum,Larissa  in collaboration with Athens Digital Arts Festival (ADAF)

The charming mortality of a situation and the acceptance of ending was the motive behind my artist work

The image of the plaster on the body gives the feeling of an outer cortex of skin. As painful as the change of skin is, it is necessary to get closer to spiritual knowledge. The work depicts our fear of death and the impossibility of managing the duality, death life, that exists in nature. The body becomes the intermediary of the life-death relationship. The change of skin acts as a tool for observing the transition as it is imposed to bring us closer to the awareness of cyclical time.
